GSC Names Karolina Philmon Marketing Manager

Gordon State College names Karolina Philmon as Marketing Manager effective Feb. 14, 2022.
Philmon joins Highlander Nation with over 17 years in the financial and personal banking career field. She graduated from Middle Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Arts in New Media and Communications and a minor in creative writing.

I’m proud to be a part of that greatness,” Philmon said. “I’m eager to expand my leadership skills through hard work and determination and gain meaningful relationships between staff, faculty and the entire Highlander community.”
Philmon previously served as the head writer for MGA’s newspaper, The Statement, and content chief editor for MGA’s literary magazine, Fall Line Review. In her role at Gordon, Philmon will be responsible for developing and managing a marketing plan that implements GSC’s five-year strategic plan and connecting with media outlets to elevate awareness in the institution’s 14-county primary service region.
“Karolina’s excellent communication and writing skills will allow her to excel in this role, and she will be a wonderful new addition to the advancement, external relation and marketing team,” said Montrese Adger Fuller, vice president of advancement, external relations and marketing.
Born in Poland and raised in New Jersey, Philmon attained her citizenship in 2013. She is a coffee enthusiast who loves to explore unique coffee shops. Philmon also enjoys ballroom dancing and spending quality time with her family.
