The GSC Theatre Production of The Giver Opens March 28
The Gordon State College Theatre production of The Giver opens Wednesday, March 28.
The Giver, by Lois Lowry and adapted by Eric Coble is set in a society which at first appears to be utopian but is revealed to be dystopian as the story progresses.
Jonas, a 12-year-old boy, discovers the dark secrets behind this idyllic world and plans his escape.
This play is mysterious, filled with magic and is a complex tale of family, love, and escape.

GSC Professor Lisa Ferguson directs the play while GSC Professor Tony Pearson leads the design team. Mercer University Professor Craig Coleman is leading the media design for the production.
The production continues through Friday at 7:30 p.m. each night in the GSC Fine Arts Theatre. Tickets are available at the door and are $5 for seniors and students under 12 and $10 for adults.
