Alumni Back on Campus April 20-22
Gordon State College will welcome more than 200 alumni back to campus April 20, 21 and 22 for the annual Alumni Weekend.
The festivities start Friday with registration from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Alumni House on Stafford Avenue.
Registrants will have the day to reunite with friends, visit the bookstore for Gordon State and Gordon Military College merchandise, and visit the library to enjoy the student and faculty art show.
Registration reopens Saturday at 9 and continues through 2 p.m. Lunch will be served in the courtyard behind the Alumni House on Stafford Avenue from 11:30 to 1:30.
At 4:30 p.m. a Veteran Roll Call will be held at the Military Memorial.
Saturday's festivities continue with the Annual Alumni Dinner and Dance in Highlander Hall of the Student Center starting at 5:30. Music by the band "Junkshun" led by alumnus Jim Graham begins at 7:30 p.m.
The weekend's festivities conclude Sunday with the farewell breakfast from 8 to 10 in Highlander Dining Hall.
"We are always excited to have alumni return to campus," said alumna Rhonda Toon, Gordon State College Vice President of Institutional Advancement. "New friendships made, old ones renewed, and great stories shared."
