'Doubt: A Parable' Opens Wednesday

The Gordon State College Theatre production of "Doubt: A Parable" opens Wednesday.

Winner of the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, the play centers around Father Flynn and Sister Aloysius, her suspicion and his denial.

The play stars Zak Williams as Father Flynn; Tara Barfield as Sister Aloysius, Carolyn Pipkin as Sister James and Tamera Burden as Mrs. Miller.

Director Rhonda Wooley, assistant professor of theatre chose this play "Because it makes you think. You consistently process a new bit of information in an effort to form your own conclusions, but each time you think you may have done so, you have to once again reconsider another perspective or another idea."

Assistant Director Marc Muneal says,? "… Doubt is a play the audience not only sees and hears but also experiences. Be ready to question your opinions and conclusions at every turn as the only certainty is the lack of certainty."

Performances are at 7:30 each evening Wednesday through Saturday and at 2 Sunday afternoon at the Gordon State College Fine Arts Theatre.

Tickets are available at the door and are $7 adults, $6 senior citizens, $5 students and $4 each for members of groups of 10 or more.
