Gordon Grad Addresses UGA-Griffin Grads

Kathleen Chumbley, a 2013 graduate of Gordon State College, was the student speaker at the Spring 2015 graduation ceremony at the University of Georgia Griffin Campus Thursday.

Chumbley noted that her time at Gordon greatly prepared her to pursue her Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

"During my first year at Gordon, Dr. Brenda Johnson (association professor of business) sat down with me and helped me plot my course," Chumbley said. "Being involved in Gordon as vice-president of the Student Government Association and my time as a student helped me to reach my goal today."

Chumbley will pursue a Master's of Business Administration degree at the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia after taking some time off to spend with family in Henry County.

"Never give up, if I had not had the help of Gordon professors, I would not be where I am today," Chumbley said.
