Gain college credit while still in high school!
The University System of Georgia recognizes the need to provide academically talented high school students with opportunities for acceleration of their formal academic programs. This recognition has led to the development of the dual enrollment option for high school students.
Admissions Requirements
To be admitted as a dual enrollment student at Gordon State College and earn dual high school and college credit, a student must:
- Have a minimum 3.0 GPA in their academic Required High School Curriculum.
- Have succesfully completed 9th grade by the time of enrollment.
- Be on track towards the completion of the USG Required High School Curriculum (RHSC) and high school graduation requirement (two English and two Math courses).
NOTES
The USG dual enrollment test score requirements are waived through Summer 2026. Test scores are no longer required for acceptances purposes, but may be sent for course placement. Please visit the GAfutures Dual Enrollment Eligibility page for additional information on the requirements for the Dual Enrollment Funding Program. Students in the 9th grade are not eligible for program funding. Students in the 10th grade must have a minimum SAT Total score of 1200 or a minimum ACT Composite score of 26 in a single national test administration to be eligible for funding while attending a USG institution.

- Submit an online application by clicking the APPLY NOW button. Application fees are waived for dual enrollment applicants.
- Have your Official High School transcripts sent to GSC Admissions.
- Securely upload your Immunization Records at www.gordonstate.edu/adm-docs.
- Send official test scores (OPTIONAL).
