From Mommy and Me swim lessons to Junior Highlander camps, Gordon State College Community Education can help make this summer one of learning and enrichment for youth and adults.

"We are offering baton twirling lessons, private k-12 tutoring and an exciting camp, Extreme Adventure and STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics)," said Debbie Christian, community education program administrator. "And this year we are offering a fun children's group ukulele class. Ukuleles are a great size and feel for young musicians."

Gordon State CE is also offering Junior Highlanders swim lessons in three separate sessions for four age groups. The lessons will be offered at the Aquatic Center on campus.

Swim lessons are also available for adults as well as classes as diverse as "The Fundamentals of Beekeeping" and "Basic Music Theory and Ear Training."

For educators who wish to earn continuing education units, several mini-courses - each worth one CEU - are being offered.

Among the CEU courses offered are Numbers and Operations, Geometry and Measurement and Data Analysis and Probability.

"We have something for just about everyone," said Christian.
