Members of the Gordon State College African American Male Initiative recently gathered to plan activities and set goals for the 2015-16 academic year.

AAMI provides strategic interventions, academic support, and civic and professional exposure aimed at increasing successful matriculation and graduation.

A part of AAMI is the Student African American Brotherhood, known on the Gordon campus as Brother2Brother.

B2B members strive to be role models on campus and off. B2B also works to help members prepare to enter the work force and compete as positive, professional contributors.

AAMI and B2B members reside on campus in a Living-Learning Community. The LLC provides members with the opportunity to live and learn with like-minded students in an environment strategically designed to foster academic success.

AAMI is a nationally recognized, statewide network of programs that has a documented track record of increasing the enrollment, retention, and graduation of African-American males within Georgia's public colleges and universities.

The Gordon State College AAMI is one of 26 programs operating on 30 University System of Georgia campuses.
